City of Eastman

City of Eastman

Eastman, the county seat for Dodge County, was settled in 1840 and later incorporated in 1905. The city was named for William Pitt Eastman, who donated most of the land for the town.

At one time, Eastman was referred to as the "Paris of the Wiregrass" due to its high degree of culture. The city's courthouse is situated on a circle, instead of the usual Courthouse Square.
